Hi, I just found this website. Thought I had found all the travel sites previoulsy and started hunting for writeups about Turkey. I live in Columbus, Oh and must be about the same age as you. I leave for a 3wk solo trip to Turkey in less than 2 months. It was great to read your report and see pictures of places I plan to see. I am also going to blog on my trip and this looks like a good place to do it. But I am taking my small laptop with me to help.

Fantastic accounts of your travels!!

I am going to Turkey for 10 days in September and am looking for a relaxing honeymoon spot on the coast for about 4 days - any top suggestions? Am thinking Antalya because it is easy to get to from Istanbul. Thanks!!!!

My husband and I are around your age. If you have questions about Marmaris, I can give you some insights. It gives the impression of a touristy British Colony.

Best regards.

If ever you go back to Istanbul, you ought to try out the Marmara Hotels or better, their residencies. If you're sharing they can be as low 75 euros. Between 2 people that's practically nothing. The other thing is, you get what you pay for. You only get so many days a year off work, so why skimp on the money and have a bad holiday!

A great cultural holiday though, that's why I love going there!

Really enjoyed reading about your Turkish trip.
We were in Cappadocia in September, with a small walking group, but in May are going independently - first to Istanbul, then Cappadocia, then South to Marmaris to catch a boat to Rhodes!!
